High quality, well made, realistic looking, round shaped, boxwood artificial plant.
High quality, well made, realistic looking, round shaped, boxwood artificial plant. This good looking artificial boxwood plant comes flattened out in the box, so it has to be manually spread out and the branches need to be maneuvered into proper form. There is an included pair of gardening gloves that come with the plant and this is what you want to wear while fluffing and straightening out the leaves and branches, as you shape it into the round 16 inch x 16 inch plant/leaves part of the plant. The gloves are white so after fluffing up the tree you can see some slight green staining on the gloves, which would have been on my hands if not for the gloves, so use them or be sure to wash hands after arranging.Straight out of the box, there is no chemical or any other type of odor with this plant. High quality PE leaf and stem material and the entire thing is well made, with only 2 little tiny 2 to 3 inch, little branches coming loose during the fluffing process, all other branches and leaves stayed put and are securely glued into the the network of stems. The spike fits onto the bottom part of the main stalk or stem, and then I have that spike, stuck into packing foam that’s inside a planter, similar in size to the one that the description shows, which is the perfect size for this, to accentuate it’s beauty and perch it higher up where the shape and aesthetics can be freely seen from afar… I would not want to have this where the spike is just driven all the way into the ground, without a planter, I don’t think that would look real good… I like the planter look, like the description shows, this is for our front yard garden and it looks great. They say to expect 3-5 years of use from this, which with rain and cold and bright sun, sounds about right, but I’ll hope it lasts longer than that… maybe it’ll just fade a bit in 3-5 years and I can get another few years with a more faded greenery look, we’ll see. Great product.

    Looks real, great value
This is a pretty good little bush. It is larger than I was expecting and was pleasantly surprised by the size. It’s compacted down for shipping, but includes instructions on how to get it to expand. It includes a stake that screwed on easily for me. Bonus is that the box included gloves to help with planting. The color is nice and looks natural. I planted this in a planter in front of my door and it looks great. You can’t tell it’s fake from far away because the color and leaves look natural. Up close you can if you look closely enough as the trunk does not have a natural color to it. I deducted half a star for this.I couple of the leave clusters did come off when I pulled it out of the box, and I couldn’t figure out where they fit back on. I only took off half a star for this because while a couple clusters fell off, it still didn’t look like any were missing. I shook it a few times to see if this was going to be a problem since it’ll be outdoors, but no other ones fell off.Overall, I think this is a sturdy little bush, looks good, I think it is a great value for the price since realistic looking fake plants can be pricey.

No water required – great news
I have been replacing all those plants that are either dying or require me to water daily with artificial plants. I was very successful with that this year on my patio. Instead of hand watering 30-45 minutes each morning I was down to 10-15 minutes. That was a winner. Save water and time and my patio still looks beautiful. This bush will be a good addition to my collection. It looks real enough but can’t be mixed with my still living boxwoods. It is a totally different color and much darker and less vibrant than my still living boxwoods. This will be perfect for that area that does not get enough sun or water to sustain a live plant such as a porch or low light area. If you decide it is time to replace your boxwoods keep in mind that these do not blend in well with live plants but stand alone or in a group of other artificial plant will be great. These are well made and sturdy with a spike that you screw onto the base of the “wood like” part of the plant. It was easy to stick into the ground and much easier than digging a big hole and trying to keep it alive for a year if it was real. I can’t say enough about the benefits to converting to artificial over live plant and these are beautiful and no maintenance. I am planning to store all my artificial plants back in their boxes and in the garage over the winter and put them all back out in the early Spring because we can have some harsh winter here in Colorado. These might survive a winter, but I prefer to take them in and hopefully they will last longer.

A faux boxwood that blends in naturally with live evergreens to fill a bald area
This is a review for TBPA Brand Artificial Boxwood Topiary Ball Trees for Outdoor with 6.5 long Ground Spike. The branch density and shapes, as well as the variated greens used in the leaves give this faux 16.5” round boxwood ball with trunk a realistic look. Since boxwoods naturally have shiny leaves, the slight glisten of the plastic leaves adds to the realism. Whereas it might detract in artificial plants are mimicking plants that don’t naturally have shiny leaves, here it enhances it.While I prefer living plants, I have some areas in my evergreen landscaping that don’t get enough sun for them to thrive, and they fail after a harsh winter or blistering summer. I chose these boxwood to fill in those bare areas. Surprisingly they blend in with my natural greenery quite well. The neighbors had no idea they weren’t real when they were complimenting my new plantings! How these will hold up over time is hard to say at this point, but if they last 18 months they will do better than a living evergreen in my location. I expect a life of 3 to 4 years before they will need replacement. Given that they are in shade, I suspect they might last longer. Given all the tariffs, these boxwood are fairly priced for the quality. My rating is 4 stars due to the slow, nearly 2 week shipping time, and the quality of the fastening of the branches into the trunk of the plant. Two of mine were a bit loose.
