Exacly as expected – nice kit with both sand/water weights and stakes
Just received and put together. Exactly as expected and versatile. Comes with the weight pods you can fill with play sand or water (if they are sitting on a hard surface) as well as the stakes if sitting on the ground. These pods have indentations to let you use tea lights (NOT included) instead of the included plug in light string. The indentation fits a 1-3/8″ diameter LED tealight (see pic with one I happened to have on hand, but Not included in this kit).As others have mentioned the plastic used for the “bags” is BRITTLE! Just pushing the bulbs though the side opening caused at least one of mine to split up a ways. And I put this together inside not out in the cold where it would be worse. I used white waterproof house wrap tape to fix that…might do this to all of them around where the bulb goes though to protect in future.Easy to put together, the included light string is made up of those warm white clear “night light” “7 watt” type bulbs (not LED’s). FUTURE suggestion in making these would be to use the candle flicker LED bulbs – that would look great and use less power…oh and reformulate the plastic for the bag.You can spread these 10 luminary bags out a distance too…looks like they can be up to about 34″ apart bag to bag roughly measuring. In summary good kit for what it is (seasonal holiday decorations – not made to last like most of this holiday stuff), it looks nice, treat it gently and should last a couple seasons. I probably should deduct a star because of the plastic, but trying to be reasonable for what it is. My 2 cents, your mileage may vary, void where prohibited…

    Nice, flexible engineering and design
This time I ordered two kits which add to the one I got last year. It is my second year using these as outdoor Christmas decorations.I chose the electric luminaria kit over the traditional paper bags, sand and candles because of the durability, low maintenance during use (especially if you use an electric light-sensing timer) and increased safety (no open flames). They have a great appearance that simulates traditional luminaria. In the box: 10 plastic “bags”, 10 plastic LumaBases, 10 hard plastic 4.5 inch, nail-headed stakes, 1 electric cord with 10 incandescent 7watt-120volt bulbs installed, and large and small instruction sheets. The “bags” are bendable plastic; they arrive flattened and are easily assembled using the crease lines (facilitates opening them and forming the closed bottom). They are easily flattened again for storage. The bags also have a punch-out in the rear, above the height of the inserted LumaBase, for the light bulb. The hole is only large enough for the bulb base, so the internal bulb is screwed into the external socket. There is also a punch-out in the bottom for a stake. The LumaBases fit inside the bag and can be filled with water; however, I chose to fill them with sand. The base has centered indents for 3 different sizes of candles (e.g. tea lights or votive candles; I don’t know what the melt temperature of the base is, so be careful if you are using candles; you could use battery-operated electric tea lights and votive candles). Obviously, since I purchased the electric version of the kit, I am not using candles. The electric cord sockets are spaced about 3 feet apart. There is a male plug at one end and a female at the other so that multiple sets can be plugged in end-to-end. The first socket is about 2 feet from the male plug.To keep the luminaria in place you have the installation flexibility of using the stakes or LumaBases or both.

    Great Luminaria Kit
We have used these now for multiple years and they are holding up well. I definitely recommend these for holiday season decorations

Beautiful, bright, easy to set up luminaries
Purchased Nov 2021, put up after Thanksgiving for the Christmas season. Easy to put together. I like that they will be easy to store. I filled the plastic boxes with water and put in the vinyl bag for stabilization and it has worked perfectly. I am in Florida so there is some rain, heavy dew in the mornings, but that has not affected the luminaries. They are plugged into a timer and look great every night! Might buy more for next year to line the entrance to the front door!

Nice lights however multiple bulbs burned out.
Very nice looking.Unfortunately on a daily basis for the first 1 week, more than several bulbs burned out. I had to replace over 1 dozen bulbs. But now for almost the last week all bulbs have stayed lit.

    Work great!
We purchased these to replace real flame candles in jars and/bags. We got tired of filling sand and dealing with wax drips stuck in the sand and jars every year for our neighborhood luminaria. There’s initially some setup with folding the plastic “bags” and filling the sand in the containers but then you’re set to go year after year. (I wouldn’t recommend water due to them freezing and cracking open). The lights worked great on a timer and they really did not look much different from our neighbors real flame luminaries. We did try some flicker bulbs but they were too dim, too orange, and flickered too much/quickiy. I would also prefer LED bulbs in general for these but I bet better tech for LED flicker bulbs at this size will get better in the next year or so. PRO TIPS: buy when on sale! Also, keep the cardboard boxes they come in for easier storage of weights. We bought four at once and the larger box they were all packed in was super helpful for storage for next year without having to unpack and unfold the plastic “bags”

    Plastic luminaries
Last year, in November, we moved to a new neighborhood. They had a tradition of putting out luminaries along the sidewalk during Christmas. We used the paper bags, sand in the bottom & tea lights. Well, needless to say that was a pain as the wind was blowing, lights would not stay lit and rain & paper bags are not friendly to each other. These were much better and a lot easier. Since the bags are plastic, rain wasn’t an issue. Just plug in & they ALL were lit! We saved the boxes they came in, boxed them up, stored with the other christmas decorations.

    One Star
Cheap product and found it in the store for 1/2 the price.
