These are good chairs. I chose these over some similar ones from another manufacturer because the assembly seemed easier; the seat is already screwed onto the frame (no need to drill or mess with blind screws), there are no stretchers or bars between the legs, and you only have to install 2 bolts per leg and 2 into the crossbar on the chair back. Everything was well-packaged, and the bolts even came with the washers pre-threaded onto them.Out of the 2 pairs I ordered, I did have a problem with being able to get a bolt into one of the front legs, like the threading of the nut embedded in the wood was messed up. The manufacturer promptly sent me a replacement so all is well.Assembly tip: all of the chairs wobbled at first. To fix this, first sort out the front legs. They are symmetrical with respect to left/right, but I noticed that there was some small variation in height between them. Pair up the two shortest and longest legs. Then, before fully tightening the bolts, drop the chair straight down about 6″ onto a rug or something to protect the floor. That gives it enough of a whack to align everything properly, and you can flip it over and tighten the bolts.As a shorter person, I find all standard-height dining chairs too high for me, so I can’t comment on comfort otherwise. I did wonder if a person tall enough to sit all the way back in the chair would find the cross-back design uncomfortable, though. The backs on these are tall, narrow, and upright.The cappuccino color is a very dark brown and is almost an exact match for the General Finishes Java stain and Ikea black-brown color I have on some other furniture in my home. There are a few places, like the undersides of the cross pieces on the chair back, where the finish seems a little thin, but I don’t expect those to be visible or high-wear areas. It’s a glossy finish.

We have a nice dining room table that we didn’t want to get rid of, but our chairs had given out. It was next to impossible to find just chairs instead of a whole dining room set. These chairs are solid and sturdy and look beautiful with our set. Easy to build. Highly recommend!

Usually when you purchase furniture from Amazon, it feels cheap and you can tell it’s “Amazon furniture”. These chairs are SO sturdy and the wood material is thick. I am very pleased!!
