What an impressive little tool. It’s much small than I expected…which is a good thing. This is easily carried in your pocket. It is also very accurate. I’ve confirmed it’s readings from just a foot to over 40 feet and it checks out every time. Easy to use and easy to read.

Great tool to have!
The Bosch laser tape measure is a great tool — accurate, easy to use, and super convenient compared to a regular tape. The display is clear, the measurements are spot-on, and it really speeds up projects. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it sometimes resets if the unit is tapped or set down on a surface, which can be a little frustrating. Other than that, it’s an excellent product and a big time-saver. Would definitely recommend!

Very well built laser range finder
It’s easy to use, accurate, and a gem to handle while you work. Runs on two AAA batteries and makes tough tape measuring tasks a breeze. For close range work, like measuring the inside dimensions of a closet, I set the accuracy to 1/32 inch. For long range work, like building a 50-foot cedar fence, I set the accuracy to 1/4″ for quick accurate measurements. Soooooo much easier than the old fashion, multi-leg tape measurement route. ☺️

Easy to Swap from Ft In to Meters
I volunteer as a builder in Musanze Rwanda at an NGO that has American, European and African builders.The Americans that help build are more accustomed to Feet Inches while the African and Europeans use Meters.The Bosch GLM100-23 is an excellent tool that is easy for Americans to use Ft In and then quickly change settings to Meters for Africans and Europeans to use. The building team constantly take turns using the Bosch Laser all day into the early night. Tip …. When we have to measure a long distance we place a white thin stake into the ground where we can see the red dot. We note the distance. Then repeat the process with more white thin stakes until we reach the end of the total distance. We know the thickness of the white stake and add it to the total. It works perfectly.

Not a bad device under indoor conditions.
I bought this for a science lab experiment. I was hoping to measure how far students could throw little foam gliders at different energy levels. I first tried outside, but with the direct sun, it was not bright enough to see the red dot at any distance. Then we went inside. As long as we stayed away from the sun reflecting off of the floor, it worked pretty well. There were a few errors, but I kept at it and it eventually provided a distance. It was a fun lab. The students enjoyed it.

Great quality, accuracy and well worth the price.
Having used mechanical tape measures my entire life, (minus 5 years) I finally decided to go digital. Accuracy on this unit is exceptional, measurement options offer a great variety, simple layout and it works. Plus its a Bosch, they are just made well and last. There are many other units out there with various bells and whistles, but I just needed a unit that measured accurately and I could use by myself. This is it. I hesitated due to the price but it is well worth it. I found my new tape measure replacement. If you simply need something accurate and reliable this is it.

Tape measures are obsolete
Good: Accurate. Amazing that it can time a laser with this much accuracy, but it does. Dead on perfect vs. a yardstick. Discovered I’m 1/4″ taller than I thought I was. Easy to use despite only two buttons. Battery life appears to be good since I’m still on the first pair despite all my playing around (and some serious work.)Bad: Beam is a bit weak. If you’re going to measure distances anywhere near the advertised 100′ range, make sure you do it at dusk. Enclosed pamphlet has tons of info re not looking into a laser beam that won’t hurt you, but to learn how to actually USE the thing you have to go online and download a PDF…that contains one page of useful info. Blow the extra penny on paper instructions, Bosch.Bottom line: I bought this to measure the rooms in my house and the size of the lot it sits on. An awkward two-person job with a tape measure, effortless with this gadget. Just don’t expect to measure over 50′ or so outdoors with the sun out. Five stars.Bottom line:

Good and accurate
Accurate and easy to use, but no instructions.Press the big red once to turn on and start measuring, press again to turn the laser off. Press and hold to turn the device off.Pressing the 1/x button cycles through the rounding options, changing the measurement from the closest 1/32” to 1/2”. Note that claimed accuracy is only +/- 1/16”.Display is bright enough to see in sunlight and small enough to fit in a pocket.I compared multiple distances to a tape measure and they were all within 1/32”.2x AAA batteries included!
