Super cute and versatile!
This owl thermometer is so cute, I just love it!Other reviews have mentioned the mounting hook is off-center, which I agree is weird, however I just hung the nail off-center to account for that and surprisingly it hung pretty straight.I did pop another nail around the bottom to just keep it hanging straight but I’m not sure that was necessary.I like that it’s versatile and can be wall-mounted or stake-mounted in the ground. I chose to wall-mount it and it is a gorgeous part of the décor on my deck, very happy with it.That being said, it did not come with any directions on how to calibrate the temperature, so I looked up the product listing again and saw there it said it would self-adjust within a few hours.Of course, before I looked that up I had already manually adjusted it, ha! A few hours went by and it hadn’t moved even though the temperature had changed; so I re-adjusted it again and it seems to be keeping up on its own now.Two thumbs up on, it’s just so nice looking, I’m very happy with it!EDIT: After several adjustments it really was not ever self adjusting, the temp display just kept staying where I’d last set it. But after reading one of the reviews here where someone said they slapped it out of frustration and it started working…I tried it, ha! Yes, I literally gave it a light slap on the face of the thermometer with my open hand (not hard) and believe it or not, it worked! Now it is consistently adjusting as the temperature changes and is accurate with in 1-2 degrees!

Cutest owl EVER, and the thermometer is large enough to see from inside the house. Has a hanger on the back in case you don’t want to mount it on the stick. I just LOVE this thing! It does seem fairly delicate though, so I’m not sure how well it will hold up to the elements. But I didn’t even need to adjust the temp calibration, as it was dead-on correct as soon as I hung it outside. I really hope it lasts! 🙂

Does not register temperature accurately
Very cute but unfortunately did not read temperatures accurately. The other morning it was reading 30 degrees when actual temperature was 42. I had to return it.

Pretty and whimsical decor, not very reliable as temp sensor
I love this for decoration under my patio but have not been able to rely on it for an accurate temperature reading, even after trying to turn the calibration dial on the back. it is not in direct sunlight but has consistently been reading around 5 or so degrees warmer than other sensors I have. Ultimately it’s cute but not super reliable for its intended function. It was very easy to hang though, and I like that it has an option for installing on a stand.

Pretty amazing
I’m kinda amazed at how durable and accurate it is. We had some really nasty weather recently, rain, high winds and this thermometer had no trouble. To be honest it doesn’t look waterproof so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.It also looks nice. I keep it right in front of my bedroom window on the stake so I can see the outside temp as soon as I wake up.

Die Eule steht bei mir in einem Pflanztopf mit Pflanze, der am äußeren Ende der überdachten Terrasse steht und somit keinen prallen Regen abbekommt, aber viel Sonne. Die Farben sind nach nach Monaten, wo die Eule draußen dort steht, noch kein bisschen ausgeblichen und die Temperaturanzeige stimmt mit anderen Temperaturmessgeräten ziemlich genau überein, es ist manchmal nicht genau zu erkennen, da die Haupteinheit in Fahrenheit ist und die Gradanzeige kleiner. Insgesamt finde ich es ein schönes Deko, was zudem noch einen Zweck hat :-). Ich bin zufrieden und empfehle die Eule weiter 🙂
