I didn’t know what They Were—Now I Do, and They Work Great!
When my electrician told me to order these mounting plates for our recessed lighting, I had no clue what they were for. I just followed instructions. Turns out, they’re essential for setting up can lights before the ceiling goes in—especially when you’re planning something like tongue and groove paneling.These plates made it easy for the electrician to mark and prep the exact spots for the lights, keeping everything in place and properly spaced. Now that I see how they’re used, I realize how much easier they make the job. Definitely a smart buy if you’re doing new construction or major ceiling work! He thought they were good quality and the price was on point.

Great bracket!
Great bracket. Nice and sturdy easy to cut template to size of hole you need. I only have one complaint and I hope the company gets it. They need to stop with the plastic wrap on the template. What a pain it is to remove it. Please do away with it. Thanks!

I used these to hang 24 lights pre-drywall in my basement. These allowed me to dial in exactly the lighting pattern I wanted. They do work well for their intended purpose.A couple issues:Each bracket is individually wrapped in a plastic film. Then 6 brackets are put into a cardboard box. You order in multiples of 6. I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have an issue with is the tack strength of the plastic sheets they use on each and every bracket. It is far too strong. It took way longer than it should have to unwrap the 24 brackets. Can you use a lower tack plastic wrap? It would make the product that much better.The second minor complaint is the price. These are fairly expensive for what it is. They don’t seem to be post-stamping galvanized, so they are just buying a galvanized spool and stamping as fast as they can. It would seem that these would be as cheap as possible to produce. There isn’t a huge cost difference between these and the bracket style that gets attached in-between the joists. for the price point, I would like to see a bit of rigid geometry added during stamping into the over all shape. It wouldn’t have to be much as you don’t want to affect the drywall placement, but even a ring around where the light attaches would make a big difference. the product can be a little floppy if you don’t put it up with some tension.
