Bought this to replace the old beige sad light cover that was in the hall. I’m not an electrician and didn’t know how to rewire the light. I just put it over the old fixture and it fit. Looks better and nicer lighting quality than the old light.

Inexpensive light that did the job
Purchased it for under $30 through Amazon resale.Quality didn’t feel great on initial receipt but after installation, am content with purchase. Previously had a spotlight ceiling light and the room was fairly dark, this has brightened the room up and seems fine enough for the price paid.

Beautiful light
Beautiful light. I love the simple, elegant design as well as the size of the light. Not too small or too big! It has a soft light, which is perfect for bedrooms! Seems to be good quality! I can’t comment on lifespan, as I’ve only had it for a couple of months.

Nice value
Good looking, very good value, but not perfect. The globe is drilled a tiny bit off-center, so it cannot hang perfectly flat. The mounting nuts are round and closed (for good decorator looks), so the mounting bolts are too long, and the base of the fixture hangs 1/4 inch off the ceiling. This was remedied by shortening the bolts with hidden nuts. Once those issues were solved, we are very happy with it. We like the way it throws light on the ceiling as well as the walls.

Poor quality for the price
Very poor quality for the price. The cover is a thin plastic tapped to a metal hoop. The tape came off the plastic cover easly and was separated from the hoop with the slightest touch.I had to undo the tape and fix it before installing and fix the cover again after instalation.Astetically, it looks dumpy with tape that hangs after adhesive is gone.If you are looking to upgrade on a budget, this fixture will be a disappointment.Get a 20$ fixture for the same quality and save some money.

Worked for 2 months perfectly and now flickers to the point where it’s intolerable. I now need to buy another brand new light after paying close to $100 for this one. Poor value.

I really like this light. I have it in the kitchen. What makes the light soft and spread evenly is that it is not flush with the ceiling but lower. This allows not only direct light through the frosted glass shade but also reflected light bouncing off the ceiling. This helps to spread an even and soft light particularly if your ceiling is white. I am particularly happy with this light and it makes the kitchen light with few if any shadows. I do think it could be used anywhere in your home. It is an attractive fixture, aesthetically pleasing.Installation is fairly simple but will depend on your existing ceiling setup but they are pretty standard. My advice is to take it slowly to avoid mistakes. Everything was the correct fit. One of the best buys this year and I thought the price was fair.In my case, I have Amazon packages delivered to my local Canada Post Office for security reasons and the vendor forgot to put my name on the package! This could have ended up with the parcel being returned but I got down to the P.O. in time – this is a reminder to Amazon to see that packages are properly addressed. Sorry for the longish review but this item is a ‘buy’ without reservation.

Great price. Fixture is inconspicuous but attractive to look at. Super easy to install and great price at ~$60. Nice low profile and diffuses light beautifully.
