Very good product for the price. It is pretty sturdy and has a decent storage capacity. I bought for my daughter so she could use it for her nice collection and this box displays them perfectly. Even better than one I have bought before, where it makes the knives press on the glass, which leads to breakage. This box leaves plenty of space between the knife and the glass so you don’t have to worry about that.

Beautiful product. There is one little “trick” (see photo) I mention to extend the service life.
Obviously hand-crafted, these boxes are well-built. The corners are mitered, not just diagonally cut and glued (as are picture frames). As such, the box is solidly built. I gave it 4-star rating because in one case, the hinge screws were over-tightened by someone and ALL were stripped. That is, they were poised to come out easily during normal use. The second case in my order was just fine. There are tricky ways to fix the stripped screw holes if you are “handy” with such things.Regardless, the hinges are the weak part of this design. I’ve attached a photo to help prevent premature failure/detachment of the hinge screws due to stresses when the boxes are opened fully. I used a dense, 1/16″ double-sided tape on the back of the box (see photo) which serves as a stop and cushion when opening the box fully. Without the tape, the top of the case over-extends and places a pulling stress on the hinges’ screw attach points. While 1/16″ reduces the stress almost completely, I would say that 3/32″ thick tape would be perfect. Don’t be tempted to use anything thicker since that would simply cause high stresses on the opposite hinged side. Stay with 1/16″. With this slight modification, these boxes and their hinges should provide a longer service life. Treat these carefully and treat them with respect for the sake of the skill that was used to craft them. They look great.

I was very pleased when I received the product it was well packaged to prevent any glass breakage and the wood is beautiful. There was enough room to fit in my small amount of childhood sports medals and taekwondo belts.

Reasonable little wood box, wasn’t any issue with the quality ie. no scratches or marks . Glass is clear and easy to see through and the black internal padding has a small tag you can pull on if you need to take it out. If your looking for a display box this will do the job just fine.
