Neat tool

This an excellent moisture meter that I am using on my woodpiles to check the moisture level of recently cut standing dead oak firewood. It works well and is a high quality product for the cost.

I got this for a project where I had some water damage. It was able to give me a good reading on plywood, sub flooring, as well as hardwood and floor joists. The interface is easy use and read no issues. I like the flashlight as well. The only thing I would say could be better is using a 9 V battery seems a bit outdated. I think a arrangement would’ve been better.

Approved by the pros and great price
I live in the rainy PNW where moisture can cause huge issues. I recently had a bathroom flood and used this to see what the moisture level was under the tile to see if I needed professional mitigation. I did need to call in the pros and learned that their super high end moisture meter read the exact same as this one. I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality and accuracy.

I had a water leak and didn’t know it for a long time. I have plaster walls and couldn’t tell if they were wet. This pinless moisture meter was wonderful and let me know if the the wall was wet. I was able to use large fans to dry the wall and get red of the mold.Every household should have one.

Helps determine moisture content of cooking wood splits for optimal clean smoke
I use this to decide whether or not cooking woods for an offset smoker need to additional kiln drying before use. I found it easy to use, durable, accurate overall and functions as I expected it would. It gives instant readings and by taking measurements at various points of the wood split — ends, middle, alternating sides — I am able to get an understanding of how moist or dry a log might be. This keeps me from over drying wood and also from using wood that is too moist, providing me with optimal clean smoke when smoking meats and other foods.

Ordered this moisture meter after research various moisture meters. Found a video which reviewed this unit against 4 other meters of pin and pinless types which were selected based on high and low price points. This unit was rated 2nd overall behind another pinless type meter costing well over $300+. In use this meter reads moisture percentage virtually instantaneously and is very repeatable. I would recommend this meter.
