A great looking resin cast that’s surprisingly sturdy and bright
This little squirrel punches above its weight-class.The size will surprise you. It looks high quality enough to gift. The detail and paint job is better than similar products, and the acorn light is warm and bright. Really nothing but pleasant surprises here. Just make sure you give your first charge plenty of time to top the battery. That directly determines how long the light will function at night.This little guys a little hefty. It’s nice the resin cast has enough weight to resist wind and most else. Constantly righting tipped garden decor is never fun. So consider that a bullet dodged here. The presentation from the package to the setup is higher gift quality. The details and resin sculpting really look good. The solar strip placement is sharp and well done.The light is warm and quite bright. Again, there’s just nothing to critique on this little fella. This squirrel is sturdy and crafted with quality in mind.The acorn light steals the show. It’s a bright, warm tone that pairs well with its form fitting, solar panel. I found it easy to position for maximum sun during the day and pleasant accent lighting at night. Just give that solar panel ample light on its first day out of the box. For solar lights like these that first charge determines how long the light will function moving forward. So the more sun, the better and brighter, things will look at night.I see near limitless use and placement ideas here. The light looks great in gardens, on tables, on driveways or walks. Balconies, windows, poolsides and patios. The level of detail really lets you get creative and I wouldn’t mind a few more as outdoor accent pieces.Just a gem of a find in a pretty over-saturated, garden-decor category. If you’re looking for something similar I wouldn’t pass this one up.Cheers

Cute squirrel statue with good light
This is a really cute squirrel statue that gives off a decent light that draws the eye to it. It’s 9″ tall and 5.5″ wide. The light isn’t all that bright but it does last several hours at night with a full charge. It’s not bright enough to illuminate the statue so if it’s completely dark you can’t tell what the statue is, but that’s okay. In the daylight this is a very attractive little guy! It’s hand painted and the detail is very good, with the painted eyes particularly nice. The solar panel is securely mounted and the switch appears to be protected from the elements. On the one I received I first thought the button was defective but it just requires pushing fairly hard and there is an audible click when it’s successfully engaged.It’s not very heavy so it may not hold up in higher winds. I’ve had resin statues like this blow over and get damaged before. There is a tiny casting hole on the bottom that could be drilled out and then some play sand added to the base to give it more substance in windy weather. I’ve done that with this kind of statue before and it’s really simple and effective. If you prefer putting it indoors the solar panel is properly placed so that if it’s sitting on a window sill to get sunlight the best part of the statue would be visible to the room.
