Cute Bathroom Addition, As Described
This is a review for the white ceramic TURTLE toilet base bolt covers.Little details count. These do not make a big statement, but are just one of those tiny details that make a big difference when noticed. I was looking for a cleaner alternative to. the standard plastic cover I had and found these and other decorative covers doing an Amazon search. I have a different style on my downstair “water closet” toilet which is are a bit more visible. These Turtles are subtle and work well with the design of my main bath upstairs.They shipped and arrived quickly and are ceramic and exactly as described. Some reviews for frogs stated that they were resin and showed that the opening on the bottom was shallow and would not cove the bolt and screw, so I was a bit hesitant to order these. But all the reviews on the Turtles which were what I wanted were positive.The hole on the bottom of both turtles was more than large enough (diameter) to accommodate a standard USA toilet base bolt. There is plenty of head room inside the hollow turtle for the screw height but if your screws are too high just saw a bit off the tip. IMPORTANT NOTE: These are meant to REPLACE the plastic bolt covers that are standard for most toilets not to go over them. They drop on and are heavy enough to generally just stay in place. They do not snap on. If you are worried about them being dislodged by pets, children, or feet just use a dab of rubber cement on the bottom of the covers or some museum putty. That way they are held in place and can be removed easily for deep cleaning around the toilet base once in a while. (Plumbers generally fill the plastic covers with base wax to hold them in place. It gets moldy, accumulates “debris” , and can’t be cleaned, this and a bit of melting and leakage in very hot weather or toilets close to heating.)I think they’d make a cute and funny little gift for anybody moving into a new house. An inexpensive way to add a functional bit of inexpensive charm to one of any homes most challenging areas to clean and decorate.

Does not fit the bolts but if you’re not picky you can just set it over it loosely
I saw these on an ad for crazy quirky things found on amazon. There were other styles but I fell in love with the mushrooms. These are made to go over your toilet bolts on the base of the toilet. Nothing I did would make them click into place at all. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to make it click into place. But I was also trying to be careful as I did not want to break them. They can be very fragile. Let’s talk about the installation of these on the bolts. They didn’t fit the bolt at all and by that I mean the circular area around it that the bolt cap goes on. But that’s okay, they can just be there for fun. So they just sit over the bolts loosely.. these are so adorable that I actually purchased a second set and I stepped them in my terrarium for my desk at work. Very cute.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Super cute. Absolutely love them. The knly issues is they dont fit securely over the washer so I went out and bought a 4 pack of rubber washers that fit snugly inside the mushroom. Then I stacked two on each side of the toilet and they fit perfectly and stay snug. So cute. Bugger than I expected but it just makes them more noticeable. Now I dont have to scrub the dang screws everytime I clean the bathroom.

Turtletoilet bilt covers
Such cute toilet bolt covers. It looks so much better than just the plain white little cap. Glad that I purchased looks better than I thought it would look. the fit of the turtle
The turtles look like the photo, I haveto admit they are cute! The only problem I am having is I thought they sat on top of the white thing that covers the screws but with mine (and I am not sure they are all that way) doesn’t fit over those white porcelain knobs that are there, so I decided you just have to take those off and put the turtle in its place. The problem being I guess you have to unscrew them to get them off and then the turtle can move around (not secure) so I decided just to keep them on my sink, still looks cut but not where I intended them. The problem now is the white porcetain topper that was there will no longer screw back in so that side of my toilet is no longer secure. Again I am not sure is this is just the kind of toilet I have or all of them are like that. The turtles are well made and very cute tho’ and look exactly like the photo. To give you an idea: the hole on the bottom of the turtle is 1 1/2″ this will definately fit over the screws but the porcelain cover that I have there is 1 3/8″. The screw hole itself is 3/8″. If you don’t mind a flying turtle I guess you could glue it onto the porcelain one.

Super duper cute toddler has knocked them around a bit since he likes green and they are still good they also came in a small box that was well wrapped each fish was wrapped and over all i would buy again

These are really cute, and look just like the picture. The only problem I have now is trying to convince my grandchildren that these are not a toy when they sneak in the bathroom. Ha ha, I would highly recommend as they are really cute compared to the standard yucky caps!

I thought these were to cover the bolts on the bottom of the toilet but they have solid bases. Did I just buy some frog figures? How do these work?
