Fantastic Tool for Quick and Precise Wire Stripping

Amazing tool kit – A must have!
This tool kit is a must have for new or repair electrical work.Makes stripping wires a snap, quick and equal lengths. Also excellent for repairs where the wire is short and you can’t quite get your manual wire stripper in the box.Wire stripping works better with the impact and twisting on wire nuts works better with the drill, in my opinion.The wire twisters work great for 2, 3, and 4 wires and the nuts go on perfectly. The wire nut shapes that come with the kit work best. The winged wire nuts we already had did not work for us very well.The twister does not twist the wires itself, it uses the wire nut to do it. For that reason, we were able to unscrew the wire nut with the tool, but we’re unable to consistently un-twist the wires using the tool. We did get lucky on occasion and it un-twisted everything.Works to twist ground wires easily, using a wire nut.This is super helpful for twisting very still wires that are painful or difficult to twist by hand, and does it easily in one motion rather than twisting and then adding the wire nut like you have to do often. Plus, you don’t have to go back and take the nut off to make sure it twisted correctly. And finally, alleviates the mistake of twisting the wires the wrong way for the nut to tighten.Very highly recommend this tool. It’s a must have for everyone doing any kind of regular electrical work. Makes it a breeze!

Now I was thoroughly impressed
This item came to my door very quickly but it also came packaged very well not just in the shipping packaging but also the actual package that it comes in it comes in a beautiful little case and everything lined up just so and perfect everything is made out of excellent material and it does exactly what it advertises it will do when you look close at it it has every measurement clearly listed the materials are good quality and the fit and finish is excellent there’s no loose ends on this product I highly recommend it it also would make a great gift for Dad

Wire Stripper Kit
Using this wire stripper kit for barn wiring project and so far it has been outstanding. The drill quick adapter took a bit to get used to, but the wire gages strippers are color coordinated, making selecting the right size easy. The strippers have a blade in each toolhead and are easily swapped out using the screw. A replacement blade and extra screw where included along with the right size allen wrench. The kit even included a handful of wire nuts (not enough for the project, but useful spares). The kit also included a wire joiner, which is similar to others that I’ve used, but not as large as some. Overall an excellent kit. The adapter is definitely the single-point vulnerability, so I’ve been super careful not to damage the threads or over-torque it.

Not sized for US wires
This was a big disappointment. As shown in the photo, from left to right the tool stripped 8 AWG THHN perfectly but 8 AWG Solid peeled down to a partial strip, which I completed half of to show what it missed, 10 AWG THHN doesn’t fit into the opening to be stripped at all. One brand of 12AWG THHN stripped perfectly, the other won’t fit into the opening to be stripped. I didn’t bother trying 14 AWG.it looks like the cutter is set to peel stranded wire, not solid which is more compact, but the aperture to feed the wire into wasn’t sized for US made wire. THHN – THWN – MTW is the most commonly used wire type other than the jacketed type NM which contains solid wire for 10 AWG and smaller. In other words, single wires won’t fit and solid wire cable won’t strip, so its not a useful tool.

Great idea that did not work for me
I tried and tried to make this work and all I ended up with was twisted wires and no stripping of the wire. It just didn’t work for me…..

Works perfectly! Other reviewers forgot to set the depth.
Others have written poor reviews of this or similar products. Watching their videos, I see they failed to set the proper depth so the wire could not be stripped. I explain this in the video, so it’s important to slide the cutter down the shaft far enough that 3/4″ to 1″ of wire can be stripped. The cutters are very sharp – I tested the 14 gauge and 12 gauge. They are easy to switch and then change to the device which twists wires and which also spins on the wire nuts. A second set of knives and a tool to change them are included. I am very impressed with the quality of the wire stripper. The plastic case is unnecessary. The few wire nuts of each size that are included are cheap and I wouldn’t recommend using them. I have a whole house that an electrician just wired and I will be installing all of the cans, switches, and outlets.This device will come in handy and has already proven to be a huge timesaver! 5 Stars! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
