    Good purchase
Solid for the money. I immediately cut 1″-8 threads in 1018 as soon as they arrived. Zero issues.

Nice I.D threading tools. Inserts seem durable enough.
Performed as expected glad I purchased these good value.

Seems to be a quality set
These seem to work quite well – so far I’ve only used the right hand ones for obvious reasons, but they work! Could be a little stiffer.

Economical LH/RH Threading 5X3X2 Cutting Edges
Product Reviewed: 24pcs 3/8inch Lathe Threading Tool Internal Threading Tool $30 less 20% couponTL;DR; lots of cutting edges; RH and LH inserts 5 each; Includes wrenchesThis is a nice insert threading kit. Not full form but better for the hobbiest not to me. 5 inserts RH and 5 for LH with 3 cutting edges each. These could be brought to a full sharpness by hand most likely if needed for reduced cutting forces and increased wear.Precision fit for the inserts and a very economical kit. 5 Stars no surprises so far.How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

Tools machined improperly but additional inserts are nice.
As the pic shows, the mounting hole on the tool is offset too far from the center of the insert (also shown is the weirdly-shaped insert that was installed on the tool as-shipped). Some offset is necessary to insure the insert presses firmly against the back sides of the tool, but not this much. Consequently, the included inserts – which do look nice, btw – don’t fit into the tools. The inserts do fit into other 16ER/16IR tools, so it’s not a case of the inserts being manufactured wrong.I’ve had good luck with this brand in the past, and even though I don’t expect much in the way of stiffness/strength for these cheap import tools, I did at least expect the included inserts to actually fit. Hence they are getting returned and I’ll definitely be avoiding this brand in the future.
