    Easier than cans for sure
These brackets will be making my basement lighting job significantly easier to complete vs using traditional cans. I’m not ready to drywall the ceiling and may not anyway. These offered a great solution vs other options. Being I will be using wafer light, these are a no brainer. I like that they are lightweight and extremely cost effective vs cans. I may go with the black ceiling look and these can easily be sprayed without issue. I really like that they have multiple measuring points and center indicator to help align the installation. I’m in the testing stage so far, determining if I want to go four or six inch. As such I’ve only installed one so far as light size will also determine spacing. Clipping out the ring to get appropriate sizing is easy, was able to use side cutters with no issue.Recommended for simplicity and cost effectivenes however there are a couple downsides to work around. The included mounting screws are not great and in my testing will require pilot holes to drive into the joists with my impact. Instead I’m going to swap to my own preferred screws. The other potential downside to be aware of is that removing the wafer light is not as simple as direct drywall installs – it requires a little finesse to prevent the mouse trap effect. I did pinch my fingers once out of multiple tests inserting and removing lights. With drywall you can just get your finger under the ring and slowly pull down, on these just pulling would risk bending thr mount so you kind of push in on the spring, but need to move your finger out of the way before it snaps. Could probably use a screw driver or other probe and save risking your finger top. Even with those minor concerns, these will all be used in my renovation.

    Making life easier
This is one of the neatest hanging brackets I have seen. It will accommodate three different sizes of lights and it’s easy to remove any of the co-centric rings to make it accommodate a larger light. There is a notch to show you where the center of the bracket is and one edge of the bracket is etched with a scale in inches. Both sides start from the zero in the center and measure outward. This way you can easily center the bracket on your ceiling joist without having to guess where the center point is. I’m in the process of remodeling a late 1900s house that has at the present 17 rooms so 24 brackets won’t go to waste.

Versatile, Heavy-Duty Mounts for LED Recessed Lights That Accommodate 3, 4, and 6 Diameters.
Wow, this was delivered in a very huge and heavy box. I was bewildered because I do not remember ordering something so heavy. And only when I opened the package did I realize how really huge these plates are! I mean they are made of heavy duty metal after all, and duh makes sense they would be huge because they are supposed to be mounted in between your floor joists or ceiling joists (depending on your application). We are using these for completing our unfinished basement. They are very convenient installs for the rough-in, because they provide not just stability for the recessed lighting, but goes along with those basement ceiling panels that cover up the joists. They are very versatile in their application, meaning the way the templates are engineered allows you the wiggle room on the spacing of your joists. Your house is in constant expansion and compression throughout the year and in the different seasons, so your joists wont always be perfectly even. But these plates have the brackets that allows you to screw them in at varying measurements. They are heavy duty and made to truly support the lights as well as the wiring for the installs. It is better to have these with recessed lighting rather than just fragile drywall or cut-out ceiling panel. What is also great about these mounts, it supports the typical LED diameters of 3, 4, and 6. I would suggest having nips or some kind of metal cutting tool when preparing the opening diameters for your particular LED lights/housing. Also use a cut-resistant glove.

Great method for securely installing wafer/recessed ceiling lights
The Mounting plates are heavy and rigid so they won’t sag, but they are easy to adjust to accomodate 3″, 4″, or 6″ lights with snips. The J-box can be attached to the mounting plate. The galvanized coating is heavy and evenly applied to insure long term corrosion resistance, and 4 screws are supplied per plate fir installation. The mounting plates make installing wafer/recessed lights during new construction or renovation more secure when installing ceiling lights on drywall and also thin paneling. The mounting plates also help avoid drywall damage when the inevitable replacement of LED wafer/recessed lights becomes neccessary.

Makes Lighting Installation Fast & Secure
These galvanized steel mounting plates are excellent for recessed wafer light installation. The pre-cut round holes fit multiple light sizes, and the flat steel design ensures a stable and durable hold. With 24 in the pack, it’s perfect for larger projects, and the included screws made setup hassle-free. A great value for contractors or DIYers upgrading multiple spaces with LED recessed lights.

Great for basement unfinished recessed lights!
I can’t see myself using these underneath drywall, my god the measuring feat and alignment of something like that, no thanks! But for setting up recessed lights in an unfinished basement these are super handy, and a great value for how many come in a pack!!
