Great entry market tool kit for home use
This is an excellent tool kit for basic home use.

Actually really impressed with this tool kit
Excellent value for the money. Really great quality tool set. As first time homebuyers this tool set was perfect for all the jobs around the house during our move.

Some Settling May Occur in Shipping
PROS: Seems like a pretty complete set of popular tools, including two sizes of ratchets, magentic-tipped screwdrivers, and an impressive plethora of miscellaneous hardware bits like nails, screws, electrical tape, and even a well little circuit tester. The whole kit and kaboodle is contained in a fairly impressive, multi-level case that has nice little spaces market for each little bit. This is important as you’ll see in a moment.CONS: However good the tools and presentation may be, my unboxing experience triggered my latent OCD issues like a pound of cocaine. The kit was all akimbo, with tools floating around inside the case and the small plastic box of nails and screws spread throughout the tools like the remnants of glitter night at the local gay bar. Luckily, all the pockets were clearly labeled and defined so putting everything back in its place was a fairly straightforward procedure; however, retrieving all the little nails and hardware was more time consuming. In addition to the disarray, the tool box itself had a fracture on one of the sides and the petite aluminum bubble level was bent. Now, lest you think this was damage obviously caused by the shipper, I report such is not the case. You see, the box arrived in perfect condition with no exterior damage or punctures, so the crack in the tool case was obviously there when it was packed with less-than-loving care in Shanghai. Sure, the tools could’ve been set free by some rough handling in transit but again – no damage on the shipping box. Zero. None.No harm, no foul. I ordered this tool set to stick in the back of my truck for roadside emergency use only, so I doubt the inside of this kit will see the light of day again for quite some time. Regardless of how it was packed at the factory, it seems like a pretty robust and impressive kit for the price.

A robust tool case – every home needs one of these
Stop buying those cheap 30 dollar tool kits and spend a bit more to get a quality tool kit…. I used to be that guy who bought cheap tool cases and finally got tired of things being poor quality or breaking. Splurged here a bit and now Im convinced EVERY house needs a tool kit like this – this isn’t exciting by any means, but everyone will need a tool kit one day. Now, you might wonder if you need one this robust since it says for mechanics? Maybe, maybe not – but its better to have this and not worry about most situations than going out and trying buying one or two tools at your local hardware store. This one hits that mark that covers you for most situations that will arise around the house/car – it comes with a fantastically sturdy suitcase, and the case has some thought put into it where there are little rubber feet so that the aluminum case doesnt scratch the surface that you place it on. The inside of the case also has a latch that holds the tool separators together – which is a very nice touch ( although I do not understand why there is more than 1 latch?) The case closes perfectly – no weird rattling and the thing is pretty damn sturdy. These tiny yet thoughtful engineering changes really makes me appreciate this tool case. Some other things to consider -these are all one piece screw drivers – and while you can buy ones that have interchangeable heads ( i was that guy), they are nowhere near as sturdy and have a tendency to break – this thing provides quite a few one piece screw drivers that will let you torque with a lot more force.now – there are things that I could nitpick at , but it’s not enough to make me subtract stars:1) If you drop this thing, you will damage your floor or your foot – it weighs about 16-17 lbs fully loaded2) If you shake this thing, the ratchet heads will come out of their holders – they are in the securely enough that normal handling wont make them come loose, but something to be aware of.

A very nice well-made comprehensive tool set at a very reasonable price
This is just a FANTASTIC tool set. If I could give 5+ stars, I would.Ok, let me just say this is not a cheap tool set. It is not a child’s tool set. This is a high-quality set that is very reminiscent of high-end German tools. I immediately noted the heavy mat chrome finish, which is so much easier to grip than the typical shiny chrome plating you find on tools these days. The combination wrenches – they are very well designed – slim in fit, without the extra chunkiness that is usually found on inexpensive tools. This means so much to a professional mechanic. Ok, I don’t know how good the steel itself is, only time will tell, but by appearances, and design, these wrenches are top-notch.The combination wrenches are well made, as are the ratchets – I’m impressed. These are well-made, again in the style of quality German or Japanese tools – with fine ratcheting and a positive manual socket retainer. seriously, these are nice tools. The screwdrivers, pliers and cutters are again well made, with ergonomic grips. These are not cheap tools. This is a very handy assortment, including tape measure, level, and a large driver bit assortment, as well as traditional screwdrivers. It includes a large assortment of bits, which are all grippy oxide, not slippery chrome. And then the standard flat-head bits are hollow-ground. These are the things that a Professional will appreciate. To compliment the tools, the case is again top-notch. Very nice, well made from aluminium, with corner reinforcements, strong hinges, and a nice thick handle. It includes an internal strap retainer to hold the screwdriver insert up out of the way.The wrenches are metric-sized only. US users take note.Bottom line: This is a fantastic value for the money. It would cost five times as much to put this together from individual tools.
