Love these shelves. I have a pretty industrial theme to my office and these shelves worked out great. Recently visited the bourbon trail in KY and wanted to display some of my finds in my office. I did use a higher weight fastener being had a lot of weight that was going on the shelf. The iron is real and make sure to follow the car instructions before installing. You will love them!!

We had no trouble putting these shelves together and we were blessed with the shelf color almost matching our cabinets verbatim! Super cool look and very sturdy, these compliment our kitchen and dining area very well. Highly recommend.

These shelves are great, especially for the price. The really helped decorate this empty space I had in my living room. So the pipes come coated in oil and it’s clearly stated in the description you receive in the box and they tell you how to address it. I didn’t want to have to deal with the oil and stains, so I decided to wash them and then coat with a sealant so they won’t rust. One of the metal pieces I received wasn’t flat, it was kind of warped, but I was able to make it work though. The installation is straight forward. After you put the pipes together (just screwing them in), then have to drill them into the wall. It can be done with one person, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s also hard to drill in certain areas because the pipes are blocking the holes. As soon as the pipes are up, you just screw the wood and metal together. Now that they are installed, they seem very sturdy. I feel like they can hold a lot of weight.

Although the wood is beautiful (although only distressed and stained on one side), I wish I had known the extent to which these shelves were DIY. It would have been easier and cheaper to just buy wood and brackets. The iron pipe that comes with this was covered in oil and the black residue got on everything as I was unpacking it. Because of the design, it is practically impossible to ensure that the brackets (even when installed completely level) will in turn support the shelf level. I gave up and will be returning- for that price I will purchase something that’s a bit more “ready to hang.”

I ordered the 36inch Boulder Black shelving !- product is worth every penny, great wood, great piping, even comes with drywall anchors. The tedious part was cleaning the piping (Goo gone from the dollar store does the trick and takes about a half hour to clean and dry). I’m 5’2 and 100 pounds and the total time for installing alone was about an hour and a half (cleaning,mounting and decorating) . I took my time and made sure things were lined up and it turned out a-okay. Would buy again !

Appealing, quality shelves
The shelves looks amazing installed. The installation was relatively easy until it came to getting a nice flat level surface which took a good amount of finagling with the metal pipe parts. Overall a great product.
