It is effective beyond my expectations!
I had remnants of freezer burn odor in the Drawer refrigerator freezer- (After I had already cleaned it out thoroughly with Vinegar, water, and essential oil Lemon mixture. ) Previously, I had been using baking soda to capture odor. After cleaning, I threw them out and added activated bamboo charcoal bags- They were doing the trick and got rid of 90% of the odor in the last month- each week I saw an improvement. I tried the ionizer that is battery operated and although I did see a positive result, in that it was very effective in the refrigerator, but had only a small effect in the freezer. I thought I would try this Deodorizer next – maybe it would be better. I put it in my freezer for about an hour – started to smell something funny in the air outside of the fridge – sort of like thin air when you go up in altitude. It started to feel a little harder to breathe activating my asthma. I then removed it and put it in an airtight bag. I will say that it most definitely did help in only that hour to remove freezer burn odor. For the 2nd time after the cleaning, I had changed the plastic bags in the freezer a few weeks ago – they had already developed some remaining light freezer burn odor. After the hour with this deodorizer, it was as gone! This thing removed it! It is also interesting to note that I had a light film of frost on my bags. My freezer is -6 and I suspect this is the result of gas conversion to carbon dioxide and water! It is awesome- I will keep it and use weekly when I leave the house for the day and remove it when I return. It is just too good!

The Smell From Hell!!!
First off… I wanted to start by saying “I never write reviews!!!” This product is soooooo good, that I couldn’t remain silent.I’m a clean freak! So my fridge never has things rotting in it and all the smelly stuff is placed in sealed containers/ziplock. The past few weeks I noticed a weird smell that continued to worsen throughout the days… I had no clue where the source of the smell from HELL came from??? I did a deep clean of the whole refrigerator! Inside and out!!! Even scrubbed that little drip catcher behind the fridge! Wiped and washed everything before placing it back. Bought new boxes of baking soda. Placed 2 in the top and 2 in the bottom. Mind you, I have a compact sized refrigerator. A week goes by and it’s still bad! I had to dump my ice… butter… bread(it’s normal here in Hawai’i to refrigerate bread)… That horrid smell permeated everything!!! I was pissed and desperate! I did a quick search on Amazon and this product caught my attention! From all the reviews, I was SOLD! Purchased only one not knowing what to expect? It arrived a day earlier than expected. So YAAAAY! I simply opened the box and placed it inside my fridge moving it from the bottom to the freezer after an hour each. The smell is almost undetectable!!! I have no clue what sorcery is going on… but whatever it is… I’M ELATED!!!! A plus… the product says it’s good for TEN YEARS!!! Like wtf?!?!So… if you find yourself in a similar predicament… DON’T HESITATE!!! BUY NOW!!!!

Months not years!
The Purriko was very effective at eliminating all odors in my refrigerator. I purchased it and began using in January 2025, but now in early September 2025 it is losing its effectiveness and I will have to replace it—9 years and 3 months early!!! Yes, it will deodorize your frig but for months not 10 years!

Some members of our household, who shall remain unnamed, like to put left-over food in the fridge, uncovered. They also aren’t very good at throwing things out when they’ve turned bad. This little gadget seems to keep the fridge odour-free. It takes up very little space and looks quite smart.
