We purchased these for the house for when we were out of town. Recommended to us by our insurance adjuster. Control lights from your cell phone as if you were home.During evacuations and home remediation we used these and the tv light flicker to make it look like someone was home. 21st century Clapper
This really is the modern version of “clap on, clap off, The Clapper.” Set up was quick, works perfectly with Alexa, and now I can control lights and devices without getting up. The timer and remote features are super handy too. Small enough not to block the second outlet, which is a win.Love it—one of those little upgrades that makes life feel instantly easier.

Bought these to automatically turn on and off the lights in my reptile terrariums, whether I’m at home or off on a trip for a few days. They are super cool little appliances that were fairly easy to set up, and I’m surprised they are so affordable.Only giving 4 stars because the app is lacking in some areas. At first, I was putting in my wifi password incorrectly while pairing, and the app didn’t say that my password was incorrect but just that the pairing had “timed out” or “failed” and it suggested I move closer to my router. This led me to believe there was something wrong with my connection or the product rather than my password simply being incorrect. There are also quite a bit of typos in the app, and the home location feature doesn’t seems to do or mean anything because it changes to your current location every time you open it and never stays set. I also haven’t figured out how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit, I’m not sure that it’s an option (not that it matters because I think it’s displaying the temp of my current location and not my house).Overall, great product for things you need to turn off and on remotely or without being right beside the switch. App needs work but that can always be improved in software updates.

Love these devices. Use for Christmas so that all the lights and extras come on at same time. Control via phone app and works great.

Works Perfect So Far
So far so good. Super clean setup. It’s compatible with the Smart Life app that I had to install for my Novostellas. I like the interface and all the options. I will mention that the audible “thunk” sound this makes when switching it off & on has me a bit worried about its longevity. I’ll report back if anything happens

Garbage
The directions that come with them are terrible. The pictures are so small I can’t even read them with my reading glasses. I was trying to follow the directions, and it wasn’t working as laid out in the instructions. Thankfully, I ended up accidentally setting them up. You download the Gosund app, and open it. Plug the smart plug in the wall, plug something into it that you can tell is on/off like a light, a button lights up red on the left side of the smart plug, turn on the device, you hold the lit button for five seconds and the device (light) will turn off and the button will slow flash blue, at this point the open Gosund app recognized the plug and I was able to push some buttons in the app to finish setting it up, including it pretty much automatically linking with my Eco dot/Alexa. Now it works perfectly, with the Gosund app and Alexa voice commands.After having them a couple months, they would go offline quite a bit, so that I can’t control them. It’s not my internet, because everything else online in my house is working when these aren’t. They continued working less and less, until about 90% of the time I can’t control them because they are offline. I’m literally about to throw them in the garbage.

Out of the 10 that I’ve purchased, only one had failed me in 3 yrs. Good product and easy to use. The app and connecting it to Alexa was easy, giving you voice control on whatever device you have plugged in it. I have tvs, ac units, and lamps plugged into them, things that you need to turn off or on.
