Great Quality, Easy Setup, and Peace of Mind!
The Kasa Smart video doorbell camera has been a great upgrade to my home security. The video quality is sharp both day and night, and the wide-angle view lets me see everything at my doorstep clearly.Setup was quick and easy through the Kasa app, and I love being able to get instant notifications and talk to visitors from my phone. The motion detection is accurate without being too sensitive. If you’re looking for an affordable and reliable smart doorbell with clear video and smooth app performance, this one is a solid choice. Highly recommend!

I like it.
I have had the Kasa doorbell for about a year now, and I am very happy with it. It has worked flawlessly without any problems. I have a Ring Pro doorbell on my front door, and the Kasa doorbell on my back door. The Kasa Doorbell and the Ring Pro are both similar in build quality and picture. However, the button on the Ring Pro doorbell got cracked over time. I don’t think that will happen with the Kasa Doorbell. The biggest downside of the Kasa doorbell for me is that it will NOT ring the old wired mechanical doorbell in my house (the Ring Pro doorbell will do this). The biggest upside of the Kasa doorbell for me is that it does not require a subscription to view the videos (the Ring Pro doorbell does). The Kasa doorbell uses a chime unit that does not connect to the Kasa app or the internet. You change the ring tone and volume by manually pressing buttons on the side of the chime unit. The Kasa doorbell uses a dedicated wireless signal to ring the chime unit. This means that the chime unit rings instantly, and it does not rely on an internet connection. The Kasa doorbell does not give motion alerts on the Chime unit. The Chime unit is for the doorbell only. Motion alerts are only available through the app.You can add additional chime units, but I haven’t been able to find an official Kasa chime for sale. I used this one instead: [[ASIN:B09G2S532N] SECRUI Wireless Doorbell] I just followed the directions that came with the new chime unit. When it said to press the doorbell button, I instead pressed the pair link in settings on the Kasa app.The recording feature works very well. You can access the video recordings through the app without a subscription if you install an SD card in the doorbell. And, you can remove the SD card to copy the recordings to your laptop. The recordings are in MP4 format and they are very good quality. No subscription is required to record videos, view the videos in the app, or to copy the videos to a laptop.I would buy the Kasa Doorbell again, and I am considering replacing my Ring doorbell on the front door with a Kasa Doorbell.

Love it BUT…
I am an older woman and I installed this KASA video doorbell myself with no difficulty. The KASA app provides easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. The most time-consuming part of the installation was figuring out which switch in my electrical panel powers the doorbell. What I like:Easy installation with clear instructions.I did not even have to drill new holes—it fit into the existing holes from the old doorbell.Very reasonable price (I paid $53).No monthly subscription fee.The picture quality and the night vision are very good.I CAN record video clips and save them to my phone withOUT a subscription. In both the live view screen AND the various recorded alerts, there is a red box that you can press to either record a live clip or a section of one of the alerts and when you stop recording, it automatically saves the video clip to my phone pictures.I have no problems with faces of visitors being too dark or glare, but my front porch is covered and I do not have glaring sun in my view.It accommodates a 128 GB micro SD card which is large enough to record a LOT (must be purchased separately).Pre-recorded voice announcements that I can activate at the press of a button (if I am on a phone call and cannot speak to the person at the door, I can press a button on my phone to choose one of several pre-recorded announcements like “I’ll be there in a minute.”)What I don’t like:The provided “wedge” is only a 15 degree angle. My doorbell is mounted on the side wall, so that wedge is small. I CAN see the front door area with this wedge in place, but an option for greater than 15 degrees would provide a much better view—especially of the area in front of the house. With the 15 degree wedge, I have an annoying view of the edge of the wood door itself. It does NOT provide a view of the entire door mat area, so I cannot always see if a package is at my door. You cannot edit the pre-recorded voice announcements. Also, I did not yet have my micro SD card when I installed the doorbell and assumed I could easily insert it later—that was a mistake that cost me more time than I planned. It was VERY difficult to remove the doorbell with the little release pin the seller provides. I reviewed the installation instructions numerous times and also searched for instructional videos but it still did not come off easily. When I finally got it off, it would not recognize the SD card until I did a factory reset and then reinstalled the doorbell from the start, including formatting the SD card. I was using a top brand 128gb SD card. I strongly recommend that you install your SD card at the time you install the doorbell—not add it after like I did.Overall, I think this KASA video doorbell is a bargain and I am very happy with it. My main complaint—which is a pretty big one if your doorbell is mounted on a side wall—is that the provided wedge should be greater than a 15 degree angle to provide a better view.I took several photos to show you.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you!

I purchased the Kasa KD110 Video Doorbell spring of 2023. It was a great purchase. I live in Southern Ontario, so the weather ranges from summer hot to winter cold. This device has worked great throughout it all. I had to replace the old typical door bell in our house. I pulled it all out. Ran a new power supply and hooked it all up. The door bell and the chime paired up immediately. Setup door bell using the Kasa app, got it connected to my wifi and was watching everything in front of my house in minutes. Installed a micro sd card and can review everything the camera sees. The image is decent for both daytime and nighttime viewing. The motion detection works well as does the person detection. Have had no issues with connecting to the camera from where ever I may be. The two-way audio works well enough.Would be great if they would add the ability to view the camera from a web browser on my computer.

I was happy to see the angle wedge was part of the package when opening up the box as this is needed for my house. The camera quality is really good, night-vision not great (probably because of the wall beside it) but turning that feature off has provided adequate nighttime views.Paired with the Kasa light switches and the camera motion detection turns on my outside lights during sunset to sunrise through the app. Passing headlights set off the motion detection sometimes but that’s minor.
